The Fleet Analyst will work directly with the Manager – Fleet Procurement to ensure procurement and analytical activities are aligned to the overall fleet plan and financial objectives. This role will be comprised of conducting analysis on the existing Hertz fleet, potential fleet purchases, new/used car markets and other industry/internal metrics. The fleet analyst will also be responsible for creation, implementation and maintenance of analytical/reporting tools as well as presenting recommendations to management. -A successful candidate will demonstrate ethical principles, attention to details, ownership & a bias for action.
Enable effective decision making by retrieving and aggregating data from multiple sources and compiling it into a digestible and actionable format.Work with the Hertz Lifecycle Holding Cost model to evaluate potential new vehicle purchases.Work with teams on any ad hoc reporting, special projects, and executing on activities when priorities change.Develop an understanding of Hertz fleet databases and analytical tools used in decision making.Understand market conditions, vehicle availability, and values.Prepare presentations for management’s review to aid in decision makingMonitor businesses and agencies to ensure that they efficiently and effectively provide needed services while staying within budgetary limits.Review financial statements, sales and activity reports, and other performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement.Assist in the online auction process for fleet vehicles. Assist in posting the appropriate inventory of vehicles and assure that company purchase and sales goals are met.
Mandatory Requirements Educational Background:
Minimum 4 year college degree, preferably in Finance or Business Administration with applicable work experience. Professional Experience:
Minimum 2+ years relevant work experience in a business analyst/data analyst role.Experience in the auto industry, rental car industry or fleet management is a plus. Knowledge:
Proficiency in Excel & MS AccessProficiency in Tableau, ORACLE, SQL & SAS is preferredBusiness Development and Project Management Automotive Industry preferred Skills:
Proven problem solving skills, project management skills, attention to detail and exceptional organizational and negotiating skillsStrong presentation skillsExcellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills and an ability to effectively communicate with both business, technical teams and external vendors.
