Established small independent adjusting firm is seeking a claims assistant whose duties will include, but not be limited to:
- Submit written requests for medical records and bills, and follow up to obtain them.
- Review and outline medical bills for Claims Manager.
- Obtain police reports and other official records (often in person).
- Identify and place calls to insurance carriers, attorneys and other parties to obtain information.
- Prepare and send correspondence as directed.
- Handle miscellaneous tasks as requested by Claims Manager.
- Enter data to spreadsheets (Mac).
- Complete miscellaneous office tasks as needed
