JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY – ASSEMBLER – FT MYERS
The Production Associate will assemble and calibrate complex electronic instruments used in the water treatment industry. This position will be responsible to successfully assemble, calibrate and pack sophisticated electronic instruments for final shipment. This position will perform their duties under the supervision of experienced assembly and electronic technicians and leads. The production associate may also be tasked with the mixing and packing of chemicals used by the instruments.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Must be able to work in a production environment
Ability to read technical drawings and documents
Able to work safely around electrical, compressed air, water and chemical reagents
Some lifting required
Some assembly requires ability to apply force
Able to read and take instructions in English
Calibrate electronic instruments to insure measurement accuracy
Ability to read technical drawings and instructions
Ability to take direction
Familiarity with electrical, compressed air & water/chemical reagents safety standards
Ability to use computers
High school diploma or trade school
No direct reports
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, talk, and/or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds without assistance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Work in a manufacturing environment
May occasionally be required to perform job duties outside the typical assembly
